My mother-in-law spent her last five days there. As her family, we were able to focus on just her. Quality time; we laughed, cried, reminisced and were reassured knowing her physical needs were being met with great care and compassion. Very professional staff who comforted all of us as well as her. Would recommend to everyone who is faced with end of life care.

The staff is wonderful. I have been on multiple stays there and always made me as comfortable as possible. Taken very good care of me and whatever my needs are at that time.

My wife was in Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles, La for approx. 5 days before passing. The facility in Lake Charles is great for the community. The staff were very friendly, she saw a doctor every day, she was given three meals a day, they even fed me, so I did not have to leave to get food. I slept in the same room as my wife, staff was very courteous to be quiet at night. They said to treat the facility like home and because of that, it is a great place. My wife was comfortable and in no pain. I thank everyone who assisted my wife.

Words cannot express my gratitude for the quality of care that my mom received over the last year from Harbor Hospice in Livingston. Each and every employee became an integral part of our family while remaining professional and providing the support, commitment and compassion that was needed during this time in our lives. This was our second time to choose Harbor for one of our family members and once again we made the right choice. Thank you again for setting a high standard of excellence. Your pledge to provide dignity at the end of ones life lives on in the family that has been touched by your care.

My father-in-law went to Harbor Hospice House. Our experience was excellent. Everybody was really nice -- the caregivers, the nurses -- and they had chaplains come by. He was just there 14 days. He got worse and worse and went to somewhat of a coma and quit eating and drinking. His room was nice, nice sized, well equipped, and clean. It was a very depressing situation. But the mood there, all the staff, everybody was real upbeat and had a good outlook with the patients. The food was really good. They did an excellent job.

We had a very good experience when my mom was still at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont. The staff was very caring and compassionate. I could not have asked for a better situation.

Harbor Hospice was the best decision our family made during our Dad's illness. They welcomed our large family with open arms and became part of our family during our weeks there. The kindness and compassion from the entire staff was the best we could have ever imagined. We thank them from the bottom of hearts.

Harbor Hospice House was topnotch. I don't have words to express what a tremendous help they were. They took care of everything, and no matter how bad the situation was, they would make it bearable. I know they're professionals, and that's their job, but they were extremely compassionate and very caring toward my grandmother. I would definitely recommend them because of their work ethic.

My mother was in rehab, had a stroke, and went from there to a hospice facility called Harbor Hospice. We'd recommend it to anyone. They were excellent. They were very compassionate and professional. All of the employees who worked there, from the person who cleaned the room to the doctor, they were all very good. It was a very clean and a very nice facility. It was very well decorated. It was also quiet, peaceful, and had pleasant surroundings. The staff was very kind and understanding. They were available for anything that my mother needed or that we needed. They offer counseling of anything to deal with the death, which I think is helpful for people who may not have another source for that. They sent a card after, and they said that someone will be contacting us. They haven’t contacted me yet. I don’t know if they wait a certain period of time before they do it.

Who is Harbor Hospice

Harbor Hospice is much more than a place. We are devoted to giving each family a gift when they need it most...quality of life for our patients when they are facing life's greatest challenge.

At Harbor Hospice our commitment to excellence is reflected in our core values. Conveying these values throughout the organization with excitement and passion by word and action is what drives us.

“The gift of hospice is its capacity to help families see how much can be shared at the end of life. It is no wonder that many families can look back upon their hospice experience with gratitude.”

- Naomi Naierman, CEO AHF
